Efce Van Heerden
Efce van Heerden – Lecturer in Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Munster Technological University
In the last 20 years Efce has lived and worked in China, Africa, the Middle East and Europe in, transport, distribution, supply chain management and operations within the FMCG, retail, and automotive industries.
Efce lectures at Munster Technological University in Transport Planning and Logistics, Global Supply Chain Management, Customs and International Trade, Sustainable Fleet Operations to name but a few. Within his current role Efce coordinates MTU’s acclaimed Logistics Apprenticeship Program. He has stood on several advisory and audit committees for both industry and government bodies advising on matters within downstream operations and sustainability within the supply chain.
Efce holds a Master’s Degree in Operations Management from DCU, an Honours Degree in Logistics Management and a BCom in Marketing. Efce for the last three years has been on the judging panel for the Irish Logistics & Transport Awards. Furthermore, Efce has been an active member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) for several years and has served on Ireland’s southern section committee.
