Each discipline delivers its own programmes. The department has circa 600 students, with a Head of the Department for local management.
Each programme conforms to the Universities marks and standards for its awards. Each Module and Programme is setup and delivered following the ECTS mode. This is governed by the registrar’s office. Each discipline has it own group of dedicated lecturers and lab facilities, with appropriate shared technical support. Each programme has a course coordinator and each year has its own programme coordinator.
There is a work placement coordinator in place to ensure all students are placed with appropriate companies. We have great success in placing our students. The department has three Honours degree programmes. The department functions under a School structure, which functions under a faculty.
